Background
Imagine you are in the market for a new computer, after your old one has succumbed to the ravages of time and given up.
You go to a local computer dealer who has been a pleasure to do business with for several of your friends and family. Unto him you say,
"I want to buy a new computer. I want to use it to access the internet, manage my music collection, and use basic office software for writing letters and managing my household finances."
The computer dealer asks you a few questions and then creates and prints out a couple of build-sheets with price quotes. You peruse these, pick one, and ask him to go ahead and build it (and to install the relevant OS and other basic software included on your personalised build sheet).
Some time later, a man from the computer dealer comes to your house with your shiny new computer. Hurrah!
Now for the question.
Question
Read the above background information carefully, and give a brief description of what you would expect this new computer to be able to do. Answers should be submitted via the comments form. Extra points may be awarded for wit and creativity.

Looks like a case of d) none of the above. Bad luck. Or did I misunderstand something? How could a computer not come with those things? I suppose iTunes can be downloaded so doesn't count.
No, I'm not including iTunes.
Although part of the problem is that iTunes cannot be downloaded to this machine. Nor could you put in a CD and take files off it.
I will give the answer in another post, see if any more answers come in first though.
Luckily for me, the computer in question is not mine. The bad luck is that I'm the Token Person Who Knows About Computers in this scenario, when I really know next-to bugger all.
Do the dishes and paint the front room?
Seriously, can you print from it?
Oooh eck! I'm guessing the answer is not "Run Half Life 2 at full spec".
er..."Prop doors open"?
points to Pete for naming something the sodding machine CAN do.
How about breeding... come up with lil baby computers and you can sell later... heck, i am confused.
Ooh, belatedly welcome back! I thought you'd gone for good, so I haven't been checking from internet cafes, but I'm back on my own computer now and you're still bookmarked. Glad you've returned.
Zewt - you mean like PDAs?
Jo - Yep, I'm back, my concentration span is all over the place though. I have about four or five "big" posts that I started on Last year, sitting on the computer desktop in Notepad format. I just don't have the oomph to finish them!
This computer thing, by the way, is a bit of a saga. The stage I've just described is pre-Christmas.
